RegisterThe Dimension of Faith
The measure of our faith is dependent on the ability and nature of what or who we have faith in, and our knowledge of that person or thing. In our case as followers of Jesus, we put our faith in Him -
In regards to His ability, we know that He is limitless and boundless, having existed before time, space, matter, or any other measurable thing came to be. He has all preeminence (all-powerful), all centrality (all is centered around Him), and all supremacy (He has all authority). As for His nature, Isaiah prophesies that the Messiah would be called "Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace". (Isaish 9:6). He is the Good Shepherd (John 10) and is full of mercy (Psalm 108).
Why then does our faith waver or fall short? Daniel writes

Why then does our faith waver or fall short? Daniel writes
"... the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits."
(Daniel 11:32b KJV)
The degree of dependance we have on God is not hindered by His ability or His nature: the hindrance is in our knowledge of who He is (belief) and our submission to His Word and His will (obedience).
Praying in the dimension of faith requires a foundation of fellowship: it is in fellowship with God that we get to know Him. Take marriage for instance: Just as a bride and groom know one another by joining together, making covenant with one another, and spending time in each other's presence, we need fellowship and covenant with Christ. Some couples who have been married a long time can almost finish one another's' sentences. They've spent so much time together that they know what the other one wants, what makes them smile, and what makes them cry. In the same manner,
the more time we spend with God, the more we know Him.
The more we know Him, the more our faith grows.
And the more our faith grows, the more powerful and effective our prayers are
because we are more able to pray in total alignment with who He is and what He desires.

We need to know Him.
When we pray, it is important to pray in a manner that pleases Him: His power and authority is unlimited, but He will only use it for and bestow it upon what is in alignment with His nature and His covenant. (Pro-tip: pray the scriptures!). God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble: so, pray in humility. Jesus preached the gospel to the poor, healed the brokenhearted, preached deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, and set at liberty them that were bruised: so, pray for those who are blind, bound, captive, and brokenhearted. His Word and His Spirit reveal what his heart is after.
This may seem like an unnecessary or even unattainable depth of intimacy reserved only for pastors or spiritual leaders, but God desires to know each and every one of His children. We experience more fully the love of The Father as we grow in our understanding of God's ability and willingness to hear and respond to us. God wants to be close to you! And as we follow Jesus, establish His kingdom on earth, and intercede for others, it becomes all the more imperative that we know who God is, and
pray with great faith.
Knowing God - who He is, what He is capable of, and what He is willing and not willing to do - adds more power and efficiency to prayer and intercession.
Daniel wrote this to an old testament audience, but the new covenant in Christ through the baptism of the Holy Spirit also proves this to be true: if God is mighty in battle, and it is His Spirit that lives within us, then in Christ, we have access to that very same might. If God is full of mercy, then in Him, we have the grace needed to be merciful as well.

The deeper and broader our revelation of God is, the more of His nature we can depend on, express, and allow to flow through us as we pray His will into the earth.
The church, individually and collectively,
will be strong and do exploits
because we will know Him.

Spiritual Warfare

Warfare is defined as the engagement in or the activities involved in war or conflict. The moment Satan started to oppose God, he became the opposer of Whether we are aware of it or not, spiritual warfare is happening all around us all the time. There are times where it fades into the background of society and blends into present day culture. Then, there are times of blatant attack from or advancement of the kingdom of darkness.
Nevertheless, there is no need to fear the enemy: when we are in covenant with God through Jesus name baptism (Acts 2), the infilling of the Holy Spirit (John 3), and daily abiding in Him (John 15), we are set above these things and our souls can rest in the Lord (Hebrews 4).
While warfare is perpetual, we don't fight day in and day out. There are times of active war, and times of rest (Ecclesiastes 3:1-3). It is important to
follow the leading of the Holy Spirit
and stay in submission to spiritual authority
so that we respond appropriately in each season.

Consecration
The Lord has revealed that in the seasons to come, He will do greater things in and through Apostolic Church Dallas, and we believe Him! The only question that remains is "How do we respond to His Word? In scripture, we see that the Lord wanted to do something amazing for the Israelites, but before they advanced, they consecrated themselves.
"And Joshua said unto the people, Sanctify yourselves: for to morrow the Lord will do wonders among you."
Joshua 3:5
So, in faith and in response to the Word of the Lord over this house we will do the same:
Before we advance further in the spirit and in the city of Dallas,
we will spend time being renewed and prepared in the presence of the Lord.
We will be in a Season of Consecration starting February 1st.
Join us as we set ourselves apart from what is common to
seek an uncommon, holy purpose in the kingdom of God!
---
What does consecration practically look like?
Prayer and LOTS OF IT
Fasting food, according to the biblical definition
Limiting carnal indulgences like entertainment, social media, and others
And reading the Word of God more than usual!

Here are some scriptures and key points to help guide you in this season:
Repent - "Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the Lord, till he come and rain righteousness upon you." Hosea 10:12
Rest - "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Matthew 28:11
Recover and Heal - "For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord..." Jeremiah 30:17
Consecrate - "Speak unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say unto them, Ye shall be holy: for I the Lord your God am holy." Leviticus 19:2
Prepare for the Season Ahead - "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." 2 Timothy 2:15

As we do this, it is important to remain vigilant.
In 2 Samuel 23:20, we read about a man named Benaiah:
"And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man, of Kabzeel, who had done many acts, he slew two lionlike men of Moab: he went down also and slew a lion in the midst of a pit in time of snow:"
Snowy seasons are very similar to seasons of consecration: in them, things seem slow and uncomfortable. It is a time of rest, stillness, hibernation, barrenness, and preservation.
Despite these, Benaiah had victory in this season of rest and hardship. He did not seek a fight, but in self defense, he fought as needed. As we consecrate, our adversary [ opponent, enemy ] is still "seeking whom he may devour." (1 Peter 5:8)

Fight if you must: but only fight if Jesus says so.
